{"id":47,"date":"2008-06-05T13:57:43","date_gmt":"2008-06-05T18:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yourbreakthroughtosuccess.com\/blog\/?p=47"},"modified":"2008-06-05T14:08:24","modified_gmt":"2008-06-05T19:08:24","slug":"how-to-recover-after-a-dream-falls-through","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/yourbreakthroughtosuccess.com\/blog\/?p=47","title":{"rendered":"How to Recover After a Dream Falls Through"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just when I had a tight schedule of interviews and teaching, a big project that I as very emotionally invested in and had been working on for several months in fell apart.<\/p>\n<p>And it all collapsed at the last minute when it appeared that it was a done deal. It was a shock and it was devastating to me personally.<\/p>\n<p>I was emotionally distraught and I had an interview to do in 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>I won&#8217;t go into details now, but I had 2 choices.  I could totally fall apart and go into the &#8216;why me&#8217; victim mode or I could take what action was available to me to repair the situation.  I chose to look for ways to put the project back together if at all possible.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working on it for the last week and it&#8217;s not something I&#8217;m able to fix, and now I&#8217;m going through a grieving period for a personal dream that isn&#8217;t going to happen right now in the way I had thought.<\/p>\n<p>I have not given up on the dream though.<\/p>\n<p>Now, if I was looking for an excuse to not take action on some of the things on my plate, this would be a perfectly acceptable excuse.<\/p>\n<p>But I am going for my dreams 100% because I&#8217;ve created a vision for my life that&#8217;s running down the tracks like a runaway train.  My life is moving forward because that&#8217;s the power of the momentum I&#8217;ve set in motion.  I&#8217;ve created my life so that it&#8217;s virtually chicken-out proof unless I move to a far away land and take a vow of silence.
