Why 97% of people will never achieve success; you?

This could make you angry (I’m just calling it the way I see it) or you might know someone you need to forward this to.

You’ve probably heard about the 80/20 rule.  20% of people in a group/company/industry will produce 80% of the results.  It’s also true that 20% of your activities will produce 80% of your results/income/happiness.

What you may not know is that only 3% of people every become really successful or reach their full potential.  Out of 100 people who set a goal, only 3 will follow through and achieve it.

Why? They don’t have a plan. They don’t know what they want their life/business/relationship to look like, so of course, they have no step-by-step blueprint to get there.

Guess what? They also don’t get results they like either.

Be on this teleseminar Tuesday and I’ll share how you can be in the 3%:
http://lynnpierce.com/ebff.html

How did I figure this out?

I was in a mentoring organization for entrepreneurs in 2001/2002 with about 400 people. We met every quarter and were exposed to top experts in many fields to help us grow personally and professionally. I was brand new as an entrepreneur and didn’t even have an idea of what I wanted to do when I joined this group.

And yet, by being open to opportunities showing up that would help me figure out what my path was going to be in my new life, I became one of those 3%. In fact looking back to this large group of people who had paid several thousands of dollars to be in this group, I think the success rate was even less than 3%.

I find that really sad.  But one thing I observed early on was that not everyone who spends money really wants to get a result. Some people have convinced themselves that the simple act of signing up and spending money is action that will move them forward.

That is an illusion.

The only thing that will move you forward is participation, full-out 100% engagement.

It doesn’t even have to be something that you pay for.  There are teleseminars, videos, audios all over the Internet that offer plenty of great content on a variety of subjects. So you can’t use the excuse that you can’t afford the help you need.  That’s simply not the case.

Like this teleseminar packed with great content for you:

I’ve had some terrific questions come in from those of you who have already registered for tomorrow’s call and I’m looking forward to answering every single one!

But guess what?

Even though people are signing up for the call about how to create the life of your dreams and the business to fund it, 97% have no questions!

I shouldn’t be shocked, but I am. There are 2 possible explanations for this. (I hope it’s the second.) So it’s time for some tough love.

The first explanation could be that, following the 3% rule, these people are kidding themselves about wanting a result different than what they are getting now.

They have an opportunity to get individual help and they aren’t taking advantage of it.  Passively listening to a teleseminar hoping that someone else has asked a question that will be the answer for what’s preventing you from being successful is crazy.

I hope it’s this explanation:
You don’t have the clarity necessary to even know what it is you need help with. This is easy to correct. This is more common than you would think and the biggest issue that keeps people stuck.

Lack of clarity comes from not knowing the correct questions to ask yourself to get clear. I can help you with that-especially if you ask me a question to give me a clue where you’re stuck.

If you’re not clear, you’re spinning around in circles doing a lot of tasks, working really hard, and not knowing what it is that will really move you forward. You’re overwhelmed, losing your enthusiasm for what you’re doing and don’t know what to do next.

If this is the case, you really need to be on the call.
http://lynnpierce.com/ebff.html

…and please ask a question, even if it’s just to tell me you’re overwhelmed, so I know how to help you when we talk.

See you Tuesday!

Is It Time For You To Get What You Want?

As I travel around to different events and speak to clients and colleagues alike, there are some core questions that keep coming up.

And it boils down to two things.

For those who are already at the top of their profession or well on their way, there seems to be a lot of unrest around how their success looks. They’re feeling an emptiness and a sense of being unfulfilled by the success they thought would be the key to their happiness.

One woman I talked to about this said she doesn’t want to talk openly about these feelings because it will make her look ungrateful for all the financial success she’s achieved.  And yet, that alone isn’t enough to make her happy.

She bought a bigger house, new car, she’s taken more trips and thrown more parties.  And still at the end of the day, she wonders if there shouldn’t be something more? She also wonders if she’s done something wrong that she missed the key to her happiness.

For those on the other side of the fence, on their way to building a business, there’s a huge sense of overwhelm and too many disconnected tasks with no idea where all of them are really going or how it all fits together to become a successful business and a happy life.

I talked to someone this weekend that’s in this place. She’s totally overwhelmed and has so many home study programs there just aren’t enough hours in the week to go through all of them. She’s beginning to wonder if what she’s looking for is in one of those programs and she just hasn’t gotten to that piece yet or if she has to go through all of them and figure out how they work together.

I’ve certainly been there! Have you?

That place of overwhelm is probably something you’ve felt at different stages of your business.  It may even be a place you frequently find yourself in when it comes to your personal life as well.

The worst part is, these are the same issues I’ve been hearing since the day I started in this business!

Then another friend of mine mentioned something that Stephen Covey says about making sure when you climb the ladder of success that the ladder is up against the right wall!

Well, that’s a whole different story.  But it reminds me of why I created my very first teleseminar series way back when.  I did a 6 week course called, “How to Create a Vision for Your Life”. It came after a conversation I had with a really successful speaker who asked me how he would know for sure if what he was doing was really his life purpose-his passion.

I was totally taken aback.  He looked like he had everything going for him in the way of outward success, and yet he was confused and unsure of his path.  He didn’t really have any excitement around what he was doing anymore, he was just making money.  And he was bored.

I couldn’t get that conversation out of my head, and I thought about all the people who were overwhelmed and the others that have the feeling of emptiness after getting to the top. And I  realized they were all dealing with the same issues.  They were just showing up as different symptoms based on where they were in their lives.

So, if you find yourself in any of these situations, it’s not your fault. You may think you are doing everything right, but if you don’t have the correct system to follow, you will never end up where you want to go. At best you’ll climb all the way to the top of your ladder and find out you put it up against the wrong building to start with!

Every day I see people buying one more tactic, the next magic bullet. They don’t work if you don’t have a clear end to end system that you are applying them in. You can spend all your time learning new pieces, but if don’t have a vision of the whole puzzle, you don’t know where they go.

And you can do all the law of attraction stuff until the cows come home but if you don’t have clarity around it, it won’t manifest.

Clarity is the key. Knowing who you are and what you want your life to look puts you in a position where you can create a business thats sole purpose is to facilitate your lifestyle and contribute to your happiness. And I’m talking about soul fulfillment-not just having a fun day.

Your business is a tool to be used to bring you peace and fulfillment.  It shouldn’t be anchor around your neck that dictates how you spend your time.

Is it time for you to start looking at your business from a different perspective? For 99% of the people reading this, I would say yes. You see if it’s true for you.

I feel for you because I know it’s not easy without the right person showing you the way. I wandered around for a long time myself, looking for the right kind of help.

When it comes to discovering your passion, there are books and courses and workshops you can go to. From there you may be able to figure out what your life purpose is.  But as you start to get to the part about turning that into a business, there are few people who can do it well without a coach or mentor.

And when it comes to really creating a blueprint for the life of your dreams that is a step-by-step plan of how you can make it a reality, you need help.  I know this because if it’s what you really want and you don’t live like that now, it’s because you don’t know how to get there.

And that is what I do so easily, I see it so clearly when I talk to people. All it takes is for you to believe that it’s possible for someone who knows how to do it to help you. That little opening for something new to show up and asking for help can totally transform your life.

Let’s have a conversation-by blog (you can post anonymously). I can’t answer all your individual emails, but I’m here to help, so let me know what you want to talk about in your blog comments.

We can keep this conversation going over the next week as I get ready to spend the holidays on Maui. I’m living the life of my dreams and I want to help you do the same.

Until next week, I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Just comment on this post on my blog.

Do You Know How To Get What You Really Want?

There is no difference between the way you manifest in your personal life or your business life. The fears that are lurking in the deep recesses of your mind are the same obstacles that prevent you from having what you want in either area of your life.

Everything you truly desire is manifesting in your life now. The question is what are you really asking for?

If you’re not sure, look at what’s in your life.

You have created what your thoughts give the most attention to. You may on a conscious level desire one thing, but on a sub-conscious level feel undeserving and over-rule yourself with self-sabotaging internal dialogue.

If you are concentrating on something in your life that you are trying to get rid of, remember the law of the Universe stating, “What you resist persists.”

You won’t get the (person, body, home, car) of your dreams by concentrating on how much you don’t want what you have. Acknowledge where you are and concentrate on the positive goal you will achieve.

For example, “I now have the perfect _______ for me. I am truly happy and grateful.”

Be aware of what you say to yourself 24/7. How did you feel just now reading that you have in your life exactly what you really feel you deserve?

Take a look at where those feelings came from. Are you trying to avoid being in charge of your life by putting the responsibility for your situation on someone else?

Affirmations and written goals are a good way to stay focused. Do you have written goals? Do you repeat them out loud at least 4 times a day?

Write your 3 top goals right now.

1.

2.

3.

Accept your life as it is now. While you are resisting some part of your life your energy is focused on something that is not the way you want it.

Can you accept the realization that your life is the way it is because of the choices you’ve made based on the information you had?

Now you can let go and stop blaming either yourself or someone else. There is no longer a need to explain or defend. You did what you could with what you had. End of story!

You can let go and make different choices based on new information. When you no longer have an attachment to what you don’t like in your life, you create an opening for something better.

While you are still hanging on, trying to force something to change, there is no open space for anything better to enter your life. Let go, be open and be ready to surprise yourself.

Most likely there is something you want to do that you’re not or you would like to stop doing something you don’t like. Either way, you are resisting taking more productive action.

What are you resisting in your life?

What do you have to gain by letting go?

What steps are you going to take now to let go and make room for something better?

If you would like personal mentoring, send me an email detailing what you would like help with. As your mentor I hold a bigger vision for you than you hold for yourself. How to Recover After a Dream Falls Through

Just when I had a tight schedule of interviews and teaching, a big project that I as very emotionally invested in and had been working on for several months in fell apart.

And it all collapsed at the last minute when it appeared that it was a done deal. It was a shock and it was devastating to me personally.

I was emotionally distraught and I had an interview to do in 10 minutes.

I won’t go into details now, but I had 2 choices. I could totally fall apart and go into the ‘why me’ victim mode or I could take what action was available to me to repair the situation. I chose to look for ways to put the project back together if at all possible.

I’ve been working on it for the last week and it’s not something I’m able to fix, and now I’m going through a grieving period for a personal dream that isn’t going to happen right now in the way I had thought.

I have not given up on the dream though.

Now, if I was looking for an excuse to not take action on some of the things on my plate, this would be a perfectly acceptable excuse.

But I am going for my dreams 100% because I’ve created a vision for my life that’s running down the tracks like a runaway train. My life is moving forward because that’s the power of the momentum I’ve set in motion. I’ve created my life so that it’s virtually chicken-out proof unless I move to a far away land and take a vow of silence. (Me, silent?)

Wouldn’t you like to create a vision that strong for your life?
Wouldn’t it be great to have a plan that is virtually self-sabotage proof?

Could you benefit from working with a mentor who gets back up and keeps going when things get tough? If you’d like to work with me personally, email me.
